About Me

Keina Hamilton is a wife, and mother with a BS in child development and family studies and an MBA. She has worked with children and families for over 20 years helping them find stability and independence

My name is Keina. I am a wife, mother, and work full-time. So I am busy! I gave birth to my one and only beautiful daughter, Faith, in 2016 when I was 43 years old.  Being a first-time mom in my 40’s is a journey in itself.

Shortly after her birth, Faith was diagnosed with a rare condition called Hirschsprung’s Disease.  Her diagnosis was difficult and we continue to struggle at times dealing with it.  Having a child with a rare disease is lonely. There is no one around who has ever heard of Hirschsprung’s, not alone dealt with it.

This was the inspiration for this blog. I wanted to share our journey with the world to bring awareness to Hirschsprung’s Disease. And just as important, I want other parents of children with Hirschsprung’s Disease to know they are not alone. As a result of this desire, Raising Our Faith was born.

I don’t pretend to know everything about HD. I am not a medical professional. I am just a mother, who loves her child tremendously and wants the world to know how special she is.  Faith has brought so much joy to her family and to everyone she comes in contact with.  Because of her, my husband and I have grown even closer to God and to each other.

So, I invite everyone to come along on this amazing journey with us.
